The Nissan Altima is a mid-range executive car. Early versions were based on old Nissan Bluebird architecture, with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine up front and plenty of equipment, including cupholders, a power radio antenna and digital clock. However, top-end GLE models did have a futuristic head-up display. The second-generation model was made purely for the US marketplace, and felt more spacious (even though it wasn’t), and more luxurious. Throughout its life, various tweaks were made to improve how the Altima drove, and luxury kit was added, including power-adjustable seats and keyless entry.
